how do i upload my personal pictures to my space and make sure they stay on my space after i have logged off using html or anything else

For a start you need somewhere to store your pictures... this cannot be done on h2g2, so you need your own webspace or use Fotango.com, who have a deal with h2g2 and don't mind us using them to store random pictures.

Once you've got your pictures stored on the internet and you have a http link to use (URL removed by moderator)when writing a Guide entry or editing your personal space, select 'GuideML' at the bottom of the editing box. (You could alternatively use HTML but GuideML is recommended, and these tags will work in GuideML)

In GuideML, write



where XXX is the link to your picture as described above. It is important to use capitals and have the / in the tag. This should show your picture on your page.
