h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello Peregrin.

I was refered to you by Peta, who thought you might be able to help me get a logo on to h2g2. I'm trying to get a BLOB, like the h2g2 Christian's logo (I think), onto the Freedom From Faith Foundation page. I was hoping you might be able to help. Prospective artwork is at:

Sure! Edit the FFFF page and select GuideML at the bottom of the edit box, then apply.
Then put the following code in:



That will put the picture you've done there. The SHADOW="NONE" bit is optional, it gets rid of the border that is usually there.
I think that should do it.
I'm not sure what GeoCities do, but some hosting sites don't allow you to have external links to pictures on your site. So if it doesn't work, you may need to find another place to put it. Ask me if this is a problem.
Have you got a decent image editor, for resizing and editing the pics? I could recommend some downloadable ones if you need one.

Oh, and in case I missed the point entirely... are you looking for help in drawing the logo or getting it onto H2G2? If you're trying to get it onto H2G2 then I've blathered about that above, and if you're looking for help in drawing it, you don't need help, the prototypes look good

No, I think I might have been thinking about getting it a blob ID. Was the h2g2 Christians' logo an import?

I don't think so. I'll go and check... no, it isn't.
I think the powers that be offer storage space, at least they did at some point... i.e. we could email them a picture and they'd put it on h2g2 space. I'm not sure if that gave it a blob id or not. You could look in the help section (Don't Panic! in the goo) under pictures. I'll see if I can root out where I read that anyway, and what the email address is.
So far I don't think people have bothered trying to get IDs for their pics, things like my smileys and the H2G2 Christians logo are on personal webspace, which works OK, but can disappear occasionally with dodgy servers.
