Okay! I'll put you at the top of my drop-down select box. (I'm putting everybody in there to save room... hope it's not too squashed. There's some comfy seating in there, and I've just installed a cable TV, so it isn't too bad).

YIPEEE!

I shall return the favour.

I was going to do a list of reasearchers on my homepage. Not like the big clan of revered folk (Fairly Strange, Zach Garland, Bruce, Anonymouse etc)but actually of people who have original/new/handy stuff on their homepage. You've got the smilies. That's a good enough reason. You're on!

By the way, how do you get that box on your homepage?

It's some HTML. If you've written your page in GuideML, you can use this:

<![CDATA[

Mike A
Menza@@e
TV's Frink
Lisa
Pegasus
Fenchurch

]]>

I nicked it from somebody else's page, so feel free to nick it from me too!

I'll assume that as I've written my page in HTML I'll be able to use it straight from here regardless.

Yes - just don't bother with the <![CDATA[ and ]]> at the start and end.

As you can see this is now my fourth HTML nick-nack. I'm proud of them all. As a mark of my gratitude, I've put -you- at the top of the box. It's only fair, and I am v grateful.

Cheers smiley - smiley
I see you've changed your nickname - what name do you want your link to be by?

Keep it as Mike A. I've only changed it to Jonathan Brisby because
(a)I love him
(b)I want to provoke reaction.

May I recommend reading my entry about him?

Nope. I wouldn't any more.

I like digging up an old conversation every so often. This time, it's to ask:

How do you get that GuideML link to a forum (in your case the guestbook)?

Um... I can't remember exactly, but it's probably just the address shown in the browser address box when viewing the forum. i.e., a link to this forum would be http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?thread=28794&forum=10108

BTW, I haven't got any links to people on my page any more... mainly because I kept forgetting to update it. When I get round to it I'll do a proper links page or something. Hope you don't mind being disconnected smiley - winkeye

So it would be a case of <LINK H2G2="http://thfdykdjyyd (you knw what I'm getting at), then eh? Or what?

Oh, so i am disconnected! Don't worry, I never update my links box any more, but I haven't the heart to take it down. Consider youself lucky I like your smileys smiley - winkeye.

I think you'd need to use rather than H2G2, and have the full address. Experiment and see.
