I'm personally officially endorsing his opposition, because 1) I'm hardly ever online and doing anything for h2g2, so it'd probably be better to have a more active member of the community in this role; and 2) I make a policy of never taking anything seriously, which annoys some people, but it's basically what got me elected in the first place, as all the other candidates were taking it way too seriously, which people just got annoyed with even more

Oh I see, bit like the grass is always greener on the other side, people say they want it light hearted but then they want it done seriously. Could be a good t hing if you don't win the elections, certainly has to be less energy spent talking etc, then again could be less fun.
