Hi Peregrin, everything is in ruins! Where is the Utopia Cafebar? Where is Purplejenny? Will we ever drink beer while bungee jumping again? Where is the Surrealism Generator? Where is TheOkapi? Will we ever rebuild this place? Help!

And as you can see, I have had a change of identity. My old userpage is devastated, to top that I have lost my password, so now I am a new me in a new home. Please drop by!

But I am quite delighted to find you alive and in one piece! Let's hope we can get everything straightened out!

Hiya! Welcome back! Everything's a bit fragmented, but half a loaf is better than no loaf...

Stuff like the surrealism generator had to go 'cos offsite images, javascript etc, are banned now... and that's probably why your old userpage is in bits. The nice people at h2g2 towers will give you access to your old account again I'm sure... click on 'Help!' and ask there, that should do the trick.

Some researchers may not realise that h2g2 is up again yet... give them time and they'll come crawling back. They may not know it, but they need h2g2. They will return!! *checks himself before he gets too fanatical*

I dunno where the Utopia Cafebar is, I didn't note down the address and so I've lost it. It's probably invisible anyway, because there's a system of moderation now and the moderators are partway through the old stuff, and stuff they haven't got round to moderating is invisible. They may remove chunks of it, especially in the conversations, because as I recall we put quite a few external links into the conversations, which aren't allowed (I'm not certain why, it's a BBC thing) so they'll be removed.

Sorry if you know about all that and I'm stating the obvious, but that should answer your questions...

Finally, regarding the beer bungeeing, here's a beer and here's a bungee rope... you needn't worry, some things never change

But how do I find PurpleJenny and TO's Userpages? I canna remember the addresses and on my old page all the links are GAWN!!! Do you have an idea where their places are, or how I can find out?

This stuff about the links sucks. I'm going to start up my own site where this feature is used to the fullest! They'll be sorry!!!!

Click on 'Advanced Search' at the top, scroll down to the bottom and there's a user search. Put in their name and it should find 'em.

They may not be back on h2g2 though so don't expect to find too much
