Hello EV,
Can you help me please?
Do you know/or could you check out what precisely is the difference between a 'edited guide entry' and a 'recommended guide entry'... (or whatever they are calling the scout found entries).
Are the second actually part of the main guide???
Thanks,
GB

Oh goody, I know this one... I think...
As I understand it, recommended guide entries are leftovers from the previous version of h2g2, when the author of the entry could press a button and "recommend" it for inclusion in the guide (they used to be called "submitted entries" in the even older days).
Edited guide entries are the equivalent of the old "approved" entries, i.e. ones that have been given the once-over by a sub-ed and included in the "official" section of the guide. As the sub-eds work their way through the queue and the new Peer Review process takes over, the recommended entries should disappear - if they're accepted they'll become "edited guide entries", and if they're rejected they'll go back to being ordinary guide entries.
Does that help?
