Hello Dr.
I would love to join the Scottish Researchers Society but I don't live in Scotland anymore so guess I can't. Wanted to say hello anyway because I see that you live in Grangemouth. I grew up there and go back alot in my dreams but everything is different and I get lost.
Dad used to work at Longgannet. Me and my wee sister went to Dundas, then Abbotsgrange (is it still a middle school?) then I went to the High School. We moved to Lincolnshire when I was fourteen. We lived on Oxgang Road. I used to love the trampolines and the cycle track in Zetland Park. I used to save my pocket money and sometimes would get the bus to Falkirk and then the train to Edinburugh and spend the morning in the art galleries and then feed the squirrels in Princes Park but had to be home in time for school kicking out.
Hope you don't mind me dropping into your space. Just couldn't resist making contact with someone from my home town. My big sister now lives in Perth.
Feeling all nostalgic now! (and probably showing my age)

Hello there Mustard Seed! I have to admit I don't know Grangemouth that well, I lived here until the age of 4 and only moved back about 6 months ago, but walking through Zetland Park recently rekindled some old forgotten memories... I used to work in Perth as well!
You can still join the Scottish Researchers Group even though you don't live here, we welcome anyone with even the most tenuous Scottish connections.
Thanks for the !
