He goes in today for another cardio-catherization. He's had a minimum of three in just the past 12 months alone, possibly four (I can't remember exactly when the one before that was).

Well, it seems that the previous work done on Dear Old Dad's heart is holding well, and there are no problems there. But. (There goes that But again. *sigh*)

Thursday, Dad goes in for open-heart surgery. They're going to replace a valve and do a multiple bypass. They haven't said how many are in 'multiple' yet, or at least if they have, they haven't told me. I keep trying not to think anything but positive thoughts. It's difficult.

I hope everything turns out alright for your Dad, Nonnie. My Grandfather just suffered his third heart attack (I think) and had a second triple bypass a little over a month ago. It's a horribly debilitating operation. It takes a long time to recover your strength after it. I understand what you are going through.

Thanks for the wishes, Bear. Dad and I have always been very close. Having a better grasp of 'The power of the mind' than most, I know I need to try to keep my mind on the healing rather than the 'what ifs'... *sigh* I'm finding that difficult at the moment.

What ifs' are unavoidable...but you have the strength to ask the questions, unlike some people I know...

The only thing I can say right now is that you can never say "I love you" too many times to your family...

He's about 24 hours behind recovery schedule, but he is, at least, slowly recovering.
