I just got an e-mail from a guy I haven't heard from in nearly ten years.
Scott and I were friends... not necessarily close enough to hang out together outside of high school all the time, but we would eat lunch together nearly every day just becase we wanted to. He was the kind of guy who would listen to me blather on about my boyfriend, good stuff and bad stuff. And every time he sat and listened...there was this kind of underlined, unmentionable acknowledgement from the both of us...the minute I dumped my boyfriend, he was going to make a move. Yet that never happened, and for four years we stayed friends, talked the other's ear off and studied for our classes together.
Then we graduated, hugged, and I never saw nor heard from him again. 'Till now.
I was just saying the other day...there's something about Spring that reminds me of high school. I don't know what exactly, just that there's a feeling I get in the sights and smells and feel of the air on my skin that reminds me of a happier, less complicated time. Funny that I get this mail now, while I'm steeped in nostalgia anyway.
Scott is married...going on seven years now. He has two kids. He lives in Houston, works in computers and has a house. Wow.
I'm not sure how to feel about that.

Yep...*hugs Ant and Amanda both not only 'cause they're smart and good looking and funny, but because she has a thing for "A" people*
I'm one of those, "get in touch with people you haven't seen for years" people. It's always a little strange, but we moved so much when I was a kid I have tons of friends that I never heard from again.
I have been searching for Matt Paulin's face in every face I see, and searching for his name for years, but I've never found him. He was my first ever crush in 3rd grade... *laughing dreamy sigh*
Keep an eye out for Matt Paulin, okay?

'Show a map to Matt Paulin's neighborhood'
They should rename that Stalker.com.

I'm still waiting for the "people who owe me money" to e-mail me.

ARRGG! There are folks I graduated with that I would love to contact, but they sucker you! You have to give em 25 bucks, and while I would love to drop Wade a line and see what he's up to, I don't really feel it's worth 25 bucks.
Meanwhile there are about 50 Matt or Matthew Paulins out there. I'm not gonna email em all.
