I woke up early, poured myself a pint of Bucks Fizz and spent an epic session watching "Stargate Atlantis". At tea-time, I fell asleep.
I 'phoned a few folk to wish them a Happy New Year, but other than that I really didn't do anything useful today. Oh, except I emptied the tumbke drier...
Other than "Stargate Atlantis", I watched "Sherlock".

I slept in my chair last night. Over the past few weeks I must have slept at least twice in my bed. I just prefer sleeping in my chair. Mind you it's a comfy chair. Although not as comfortable as the Lazy Boy in the Afternoon Room. That is fantastically comfortable. This chair has seen better days and needs to be taken to an Upholsterer to have it completely rebuilt. It's an old (2000 vintage) self-build flat-pack Copenhagen chair, from Boardmans. If they did them new now I'd buy another one, but I see no sign of them; this one is particularly good because it's very low. I like a chair that you sit *in*, rather than one you sit *on*.

I'm the opposite - I can only get comfortable in a chair that is quite high. I've got two old sofa cushions wedged in under the leather cushion to raise my living room seat up to the "comfortable" point.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
