Well, it wasn't quite a motorcycle. More a sort of sturdy chair with wheels on it and a porter pushing it along.
That's how I got to and from my appointment at the Kidney clinic this morning. I overslept and so got there in a rush, only to have circumstances conspire to have me have to take the "long walk" round from the ambulance door, where the taxi let me off, by way of the "main entrance" some way away, through a crowd of smokers, back to the reception desk that was about four feet from where I started, with nowhere to sit down in between. By the time I got to the desk I couldn't stand up long enough to fumble in my pockets for my appointment letter, and they had to call a porter to wheel me to the actual clinic.
Things went OK at the appointment. Apparently I have a slightly enlarged heard but not so much as to be worth panicking over yet, and some pockets of fluid building up in my lower torso. Also, my body has built up a tolerance to the iron tablets I was taking for my anemia, so in future I will have to supplement those with weekly injections.
I flopped out for a bit when I got home, then settled in front of the TV for the night.
I watched "Stargate Atlantis", "Déjà Vu" and "Movie 43".
