George and I went round to Bob's flat this morning and retrieved anything we considered "technical and useful". smiley - geeksmiley - geek Actually, there was more than we had room in the car for - we left a couple of lovely printers behind, but I 'phoned Bob's sister and let her know that they were probably saleable. smiley - brave

I have some bits and pieces to pass on... A Linux manual and a memory stick for James, a couple of spindles of blank DVDs for Grambo, a whole *bag* of books for Dennis and a letter opener and "Optical Illusions" book for Er1c. He'll also get one of two computers we took, when George has picked which one he wants first. (Neither has a case on it... smiley - facepalm)

For me, I got Bob's "HD Homerun" device, a widget that lets you feed two Freeview tuners onto your local network... My Android set-top box lists it as an option for "Video source", and Bob had been going to lend it to me to try out. I guess I can try it at my leisure now. smiley - brave

One other thing that I picked up in case it got chucked out was Bob's "Parachute Jump Log Book" from when he was in the Territorial Army back in the 1960s, along with two photos of somebody, I presume Bob, jumping from a 'plane...! smiley - yikes I told his sister that if any of the family wanted it I would give it back, but if not I had a friend (Er1c) who would like it as a memento. smiley - grovel

On the way home, George gave me a run past the bank. smiley - tasmiley - ok

I slept for a chunk of the afternoon, recovering from the exertion. smiley - zzz

Later, I watched "Daria", "Arrow", "Criminal Minds", "CSI", "The Tomorrow People", "The Tunnel" and some more "Daria". smiley - cdouble

woofti aka groovy gravy

Aw that's sad Peet.

I need you here by the way. My network's still up the spout. It's so annoying because I have to transfer everything from computer to computer via memory stick. I must get round to fixing it some day.

Have a good day.
