I was feeling truly rotten this morning, but I had to drag myself out to an appointment at the Diabetic Clinic. 
The taxi there was dreadful (they sent one of those "wheelchair accessible" cabs that are too high to step up into, so I ended up in the very high front seat with my head pressed hard against the roof. Not fun, and then there were those speed bumps... 
) but the time in the clinic was fast and easy. I was headed home again in something like 25 minutes, with as near a clean bill of health as it's possible for me to get these days. 
The only potential problem is that the company who has made my insulin for the last 30 years or so is stopping, so I have to wean myself onto a new concoction. Still, I never thought I would outlive my insulin supply! 
About an hour and a half after I got home I had a visit from Mike E.; he brought some nice chocolate sponge cakes and I showed him the pilot of "Hot in Cleveland". 
After he left, I settled into the comfy armchair and watched "House". Later on, I watched "The Gadget Show" and "CSI: Miami". 
My back feels better, and I hope that I'll be fit enough to clean out the kitchen tomorrow. In the interim, I think I'll have an early night.

I know that feeling, but not with insulin. Sorry you had such a crappy day.
I broke a mirror the other day and thought "Oh **** 7 years bad luck" 
, then I thought 7 years bad luck - rubbish - at least I have another 7 years, that can't be bad
