I nipped out to post two letters this lunch time. It was pissing rain, and as I was standing by the post box about to send them I realised that one wasn't ready yet. It's an application for a bus pass, and I forgot to put the two photos they asked for in; I'll have to take my own picture with the webcam and print out a couple of photos tomorrow.
I headed over to check on the progress towards a computer case (long story, see previous journals) to no avail. Then, I sheltered for a while in the local Spice Shop, buying a large pack of Mullagatawny soup powder, a box of cous-cous, a bottle of lime juice, three packets of lemon cream biscuits (on special offer) and a couple of bulbs of garlic to try my peeler (again, see previous journals) out on.
After that, I ducked into the charity shop next door and bought a boxed set of "Angel" videos for £4, under the (mistaken) belief I hadn't seen them. It later turned out that they were series 3 part 2, and I needed series 4 part 2. Still, they're an entertaining enough distraction.
When I got home I watched the first "Angel" episode, then headed to the kitchen to be domestic for a while... That amounted to two loads of dishes through the dishwasher and one load of clothes in the washer.
I watched "Supersize me!" and "The Bill" (in that order!) and now I'm closing down for the night.
Wet, spicy, domestic.
