Uphevals and inversions...

It's been an odd sort of day.

I slept in this morning, and missed the start of "The Practice". Fortunately, I was recording it...

I got a lift over to Rosebank Cottage, where, I was told, there was a floppy drive that needed my urgent attention. My radar for these things must be pretty well tuned now, as I guessed it was a faulty floppy disk, and it was. I guessed it was because it was an old 720K disk, and it was. I copied all the files onto a new 1.44MB disk and headed for home.

I ducked into the COGS premises to pick up some paperwork, and found a copy of the lease there waiting to be signed. I signed it, got the signature witnessed, and took it home to post off tomorrow.

When I got home, Chris phoned and told me he was on his way over with a cheque for £400, to pay for the development of a web portal! That means that I can put it in the bank tomorrow and pay our accountant, with a few pounds left over. smiley - wowsmiley - 2centssmiley - ok

I watched "The Practice", but I was puzzled that it featured flashbacks to episodes I hadn't seen. A character who only appeared in flashbacks was killed right at the beginning. When I looked at the programme schedules, I saw that they ran Episode 19, 22, 20, 23 and 21. smiley - grr On complaining to ITV3 I was told that a couple of the episodes weren't suitable for daytime transmission, so they were only being shown late-night. That's no excuse for showing them out of order!!! smiley - steam

I've done some preliminary work on Chris' sites, and after I've been out to the bank tomorrow and paid the accountant I'll set up the new domains and copy the files over. smiley - geek
