My desktop, that is. 
I've installed my new nVidia 8400GS card in THE PENGUINATOR and it runs beautifully. 
I've enabled "Desktop Effects" and the Desktops can now be tumbled as a cube once more. 
Unfortunately, I can't find any of my spare VGA extenders (I should have at least three lying round the house somewhere... 
) so I'm still running the system on a single monitor. I'll find a cable (or buy one 
) and connect up the other monitor tomorrow. 
It snowed a little today - looked very pretty, but an hour later all traces had disappeared. 
I watched "Joan of Arcadia" and "Espresso Bongo". Otherwise, the TV schedule was full of repeats. 
On the health front I'm almost completely recovered. Apart from an occasional cough I've had no trouble breathing and haven't felt the need to open any of the packets of hot lemon or blackcurrant that I stocked up on... 
I must remember to call the Calsayseat surgery next week and make an appointment for a blood pressure check at the end of the month. 
Now, I'm going to head onto IRC and have a pint of 
while I chat before bedtime...
