Hi
I saw your posts about the licencing arrangeements the BBC have for the site and was particularly interested in what you said about their right to sell their licence on.
Is this something you've read in their ts and cs, something that you assume because you know that it is standard practice, or something you guess because it's the only logical way for them to have done it 10 years ago?
If you want to reply off-site then agirlcalledben at yahoo dot co dot uk will get to me, appearances to the contrary. But here is simpler for both of us.
Regards
Ben

Hi,
It's actually more an assumption no my part, as what I recall from reading the t & c's when I agreed to do a couple of entries it was one of the things that stuck out like a sore thumb, but I can't reference a specific point in the wording which either creates, or more significantly, fails to remove the licence to pass on.
I don't actually deal directly with IP law, but I do work in a legal section, which has occasional IP relevance. If you want, I'll do some research on the matter, and let you have what I can find.

That would be really useful. It's the area the Consortium's probably lightest in. On. About?
Thanks.

When will it be needed by?
Do I have as long as until next Monday?
I've an extra job to do at the moment, which needs to be completed by Friday.

Next week would be excellent. My day job has completely taken over, so I can totally empathise with you on that. Real life, eh? So annoyingly intrusive.
I'll point Z at this conversation, because I'll be away next week. That old day job again.
