Well, my question is if Conversations here in h2g2 may be live? because I sometimes go and check Who's Online and I wonder if I can actually chat with other researchers live.

Firstly - congratulations on opening your space - a great start

The Who's on line list is not entirely reliable as it refreshes about every 15 minutes - and someone may have signed out just as it refreshes, but it's a good indicator.

Chatting "live" is possible - but that's not really how this place works Most people are taking part in many conversations at the same time and while responses are not always instant you can keep track of replies from your conversation list on your space. The New Researchers link in your Welcome message will tell you how all this works.

I am sure that you will find this a lively and intelligent community - if a little mad at times
