I've been working toward getting up a conversation center but making little headway towards the actual posting. Tips? Advice?
I've been having a great time except for those occasional moments of panic.
I'll be sticking mainly to homework for the time being.

Hints - yes!
1. Make sure that you have selected the GuideML button at the bottom of the edit page - that should fix the viewer taggy thingy.
2. Have a look at "Spicing Up Your User Page" ---> A690518 lots of great hints and links to use 
and finally,
3. If you see something you like you can see how it's done by typing http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/guide/testuserpageXXXXX where XXX is the user number, for instance to view the code for my page type http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/guide/testuserpage38014 - it's probably nice if you ask before "pinching" code but you can have anything off my page without asking
