I read your words about the book on religion. You always so kind and fair.
I have been thinking about what kind of person you are. Your words are always so appropiate, mild, balanced... I´ve been reading a few conversations of yours and I think you are quite the person to offer a wellcome to anyone in anywhere. I think that in case you are a woman, you would be a mature one, subtle, sensible, tender. If you are a man, I imagine you like a young one in spirit but matured in age. A quite sensitive man. Pardon me if this annoys you, I remember your words, you say that people have to consider you by your words. I do, but I can´t help thinking also about the person who say those words. I consider you a sort of tutor. So I need something to picture you in my mind( I put a face to most of the hootoers that I read)
Well , all this is just because I´m happy to be back here after some problems with Internet ( I still have them, but I´m using my neighbour line , A bit tacky, yes, it is temporary) And I want to share my happines with the first entity I met here: you, the kind and sensitive Feisor.

mariangus,
Thank you for your kind words, they make me blush
I love your analysis of me, they are both so complimentary that I really can't choose - and I won't admit to either of them.
Please put any sort of face to me that you feel fits - it really doesn't matter to me
I'm pleased that you have found a way to access the internet - I don't think that it's tacky - a little desperate yes, but not tacky I hope that your access continues and that you can continue to contribute to hootoo.
I share your happiness

Hi Feisor!
Last Saturday was my hootooanivesary. One year here. I had no idea how good this was going to be
And useful too,

I am honoured that you remembered me on your hootoo anniversary
Congratulations - I hope that it is the first of many
I have noticed your posts too - on many threads and am always pleased to think that I helped you take your first steps in this place.
Your English has improved wonderfully - you should be very proud of yourself, but please don't lose the delightful eccentricities, it's like having a charming accent
Once again, congratulations on your anniversary - keep up the great work

I repeat, Hi, Feisor!
I'm not (even yet!) sure how to start another train of thought , so apologise for butting in (again)
How are you, and how's your Mum? I went off for a few days towards the end of our last conversation, and seem to have wandered somewhat. I know you must be very busy ACEing, but felt I must shout a greeting to you!
Sorry Mar, please forgive.
Dig.

It's always good to hear from you and I'm sure that Mar won't mind you joining in (no one "butts in" on hootoo)
Things are busy (as always) but Mum's ok - so I'm ok.
I've had a busy week or so and consequently Mum has had to take up a bit of slack - it's great to see her doing little things again. I might even keep pushing her - it's so good for her to have something to do
She's still going to exercise class - so that's good too.
As always - one step at a time ....
I hope that the world is being good to you

Feisor,I'm so glad there are no obvious problems. It might be a good idea to push /very/ gently.. Nobody wants to feel unnecessary, especially at our age! A friend was widowed recently, and declared she was going to ignore Christmas, and No, thank you, she wouldn't go and stay with any of her three boys. 'but we /need/ you' said an inspired daughter-in-law. A result!
Hello, Mar! Have you a quiet corner where I could practise my rusty Spanish on you? Or do communications have to be in English? In which case, does Spain have a similar system? I went to the dentist this afternoon and found a new one; he's Spanish, but declined to charlar!! My doctor is also Spanish, comes from Sevila, and is delighted.

Firstly, I think that if you make it clear that the conversation you are having is to help each other learn the other's language it will be ok - as long as you provide a translation in the same post.
Here's what the <./>HouseRules</.> say
Because we have to ensure we understand a Posting or Guide Entry in case of problems, languages other than English may have to be removed. It's also polite when posting to a Conversation to stick to the same language as the other Postings in that Conversation; posting something in a different language halfway through is not very constructive.
Give it a try - the worst that can happen is that the posts will be removed.
I understand what you are saying about Mum - that's how I got her to do things - by saying that I needed her help. It works and I'll keep using that tack I think. Here's hoping ....

I forgot!!
Mar, I commend the lovely Lady Dig to you - she is an absolute joy and a great talker and listener

You're SO kind! What a reputation to live up to!
Glad Mum seems to be doing well. Does she know about us lot? I'd like to send her good wishes, as from one antique to another, but don't tell her that!!
I should think your weather (Winter?) is probably like ours! It seems to have been raining forever, and I've never been so cold. It's unheard of for me to wear a jumper and a cardigan, but today is Flaming English June.

No "living up" to do - you _are_ wonderful
Yes, Mum knows about hootoo but I wouldn't tell her that we talk about her - I think that she'd be embarrassed.
It's cold, wet and miserable here - but it's been the driest May in years, so we really need the rain. I'm coping (just)
Looking forward to a weekend indoors in front of the heater
hi feisor
seraphicDigitalis Posted Jun 4, 2008
So you must take it vicariously! Yes, I'm sure I'd be embarrassed if my kids told the world about me. I've too much to hide!
Today's a complete contrast; bright, sunny, warm but not too hot for Little Old me to toil in the vineyard (= weedpatch) When I think how I used to spread on the beach in Spain for hours on end. (You'd think there's be a sun, wouldn't you!) How my skin survived I'll never know. How my blood managed not to boil, nobody knows! But now, I crinkle up like a tissue in a candle. Welladay.
A weekend in front of the heater sounds fine. But aren't you a little premature? It's only Wednesday (here) so you've a bit to wait.
Must share this: I went to the vet this afternoon, just for a check-up. She was delighted! My only defect, so to speak, is a shortage of folic acid. I believe that's what stops you having spina bifida babies, so I'm not unduly concerned. OOOOOh, (thinks) what a norrible thought. Never mind the SB - the thing itself....I'd rather have a .

Good news from the "vet"
You know, that's really strange ... that's how I refer to Mum's GP too - great minds etc
The rain here has really set in ... so it still looks like a wet weekend
I had a lovely surprise today - I found out that it's a long weekend here --- YAY!!!! and then, to make it even better, I kept forgetting and saying things like "On Monday ..." and then I'd remember the long weekend again and cheer up It's a bit sad I know, but it kept me happy all day
Enjoy the warm weather, the gardening and the news from the vet that you are (almost) perfect

hi people!
venerable Lady, I'm glad you have come here. Bienvenida.
I like gardening, although it is just a dream now. I will have mine one day. Soon, I hope.
We can speak in Spanish in the Spanish Speaking thread. YOu can find it in the Language Thing at The Post or just look for it in my conversation list. I tried to resume its activity but it lasted for a short time. Maybe, you being there can boost it
Nice to meet you

Very dear Mar: Bustles off to check the Post.
There have been so many firsts since I joined this mob!
Thanks for your warm welcome.
Feisor, hello! Long time no sit in front of lifted lid belong moving word-things. Glad your weekend became a strongend. Always more appreciated when unexpected.
