It's 1 am here and Chistmas Day was very nice for us - quite lay back and relax and no dramas - almost reasonably sane in fact (or should I say seasonably sane )
It was a hot one - about 37C and lots of bush fires have broken out on the outskirts of the city - lots of homes lost - very sad. The air still smells of fires. Fingers crossed for a cooler day tomorrow and praying for rain.

I haven't been here much lately - I seem to just find time to pop in, do what I have to and then duck out

How was your birthday?? - I see the party's still going on

Bad day for bush fires here today - hot, dry weather (32C) and westerly winds - we've lost about 150 homes but (thankfully) no lives This afternoon the fires hit the outer suburbs - within 15km of the city - thick smoke haze is very bad for asthmatics etc. The radio station stopped normal programming and just broadcast fire alerts. No sign of rain for days.

I seem to have heard this sentiment somewhere before...

What is it you do, anyway? If you don't want to say, say so...

I do about 3 different jobs - all part time, some from home

the weekend work is telephone market research - mind numbingly boring but easy and it pays - I can also choose when I want to w*rk which fits in with the other stuff.

I gave up the corporate world about 6 years ago - the bullsh*t levels finally got too high even for me - so now I do a bit here and a bit there - I don't live high on the hog but I'm a lot happier.
