I am a drama teacher, and no I am not an alien. In the normal sense.
you should be in my drama class.

Having my waded my way through A level Theatre Arts, many years ago, I can now say at the ripe old age of 32 that I can finally see what use it has been to me.
None.
Although, seeing as I am now a dramatic writer I suppose it should have been a more useful experience. I know a lot about Leichner make up and how it can cause amazing skin reactions. I can tell the difference between a Prosenium and In The Round stage. I can go on endlessly about Antonin Artaud and his Theatre of Cruelty. But what use has it been? Naff all.
Writing drama is all about taking your own slant on a story and making it accessible to others. Getting your point across. Sadly, nothing I learned helps me with writing at all.
Wish it did tho....
