Just thought I'd pop over here to talk to you, since we're drifting off topic quite a bit in the "What's happening outside your window" thread

Well, there's the question of even *having* free time, since at the moment, I spend 12-14 hours per day on Uni
Sports-wise, I just keep up my regular one; we have a gym we can use. Unless we go out to train on snow specifically

Oh ok. Is translating a neat job? I would think it is. What languages do you translate?
Hi there

English, Dutch and German, mostly, sometimes out of French into English/German or in a pinch out of Spanish.

Oh, you know how the saying goes - a person who speaks three languages is trilingual, a person who speaks two, bilingual, a person who speaks one - probably American

Like the other joke, where a tourist is totally lost somewhere out in the boondocks, and drives up to a pair of rednecks sitting around. He doesn't know any English, but asks them, hopefully
-Parla Italiano?
They shake their heads.
-¿Hablas Español?
They shake their heads.
-Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
They shake their heads.
-Parlez-vous Francais?
They shake their heads.
-Spreekt u Nederlands?
They shake their heads.
Finally, he gives up and drives off, annoyed. One of the rednecks looks at the other and says "Y'know, Bubba, maybe it's time we learned a different language!" The other shakes his head and says "Nah, Billy-Bob, that guy spoke five of them and it didn't do him any good!"
