thank you for the response Agent X. Since writing that article I have decided to sign up and return as a paying resident at Active Worlds. If nothing more than to get my name back in there. I go by "SubGenius" in AW. However, since signing up I've had very little time to get back in there. I hope to wander around in there again in a few weeks. A game that Maxis has come out with mirrors AW in many ways and is drastically different in others. It is called The Sims and I highly recommend it. There's no real time face to face chatting in The Sims, but the community interaction is strong. You can make skins for the characters, you can build your own houses and make your own wallpaper or floor tiles and in the future you'll be able to add your own objects to the game, and share all these things with other players. Active Worlds was way ahead of the game back in 1995. It's got some catching up to do now. But I do see the potential and hope the best for AW and anyone involved in it. The problem with AW doesn't lay in the community though. I still think the fault has always been in those running the show behind the scenes. Thanks again for your time. =)
