Ste is right, you can't edit a post once it's up - that's why it's always a good idea to use the 'preview' button..

There is one way of getting the contents of a post hidden, if you should regret very much something that you have posted, like accidentally giving out personal information, or posting in the 'heat of the moment':

Use the complaint button (also known as the yikes button) to refer the posting to the Moderators. You can read more about the complaint button here: <./>A519662#3</.>. Be sure to give a good reason for why the post should be hidden.

If it's one of your own journal entries, you can hide it like this: <./>DontPanic-Space#7</.>
