Still Here
Posted Jun 1, 2007
We just wanted everyone to know that we are still here.
Our numbers are shifting all the time, we are now 10 hamsters and two rats, but we are still here ing quietly in the background.

Evadne My Story
Posted Mar 1, 2007
Any of you out there fans of Hinge and Bracket? A BBC comedy from way back when. Mother is. When I was a baby hamster a name was difficult to find for me, then one morning we listened to BBC7 listen again to the aforementioned, my name was found. Evadne after the charactor Dr Evadne Hinge. I am pure albino.
I am thoroughly spoiled and doted on as are the nine others. Of course we also get disciplined and taught manners. We are to taught to say please and thankyou.
I have just been diagnosed with a congenital health problem. I should mention that my sister and I are pretty rare, we were joined at birth at the hip by a small fold of skin and we are identical down to the last whisker. Our other sister Flyn is brown.
My sister Ella (after the singer) has kidney and renal issues, moi, polysistic liver disease. I am on baytril and milk thistle extract my sister is on steroids.
Flyn too has problems, she is going blind. We are so lucky, anywhere else we would have gone to the great hamster gardens in heaven. However our mother knows what to do and our vet is fantastic. We are not suffering, and when we do mother and vet will consult on the best course of action.
Our hamster father (hf)was a golden, our hamster mother (hm)a grey. Hm is 100% healthy. Nothing, nada. Hf well goldens can have genetic issuses.
