Row row row your boat ...

... gently down the Cam. We got spoons - whahey! Well, what d'you expect subbing in for another boat a whole division up? We went up 21 places before a blade had been pulled in anger ... and then down four in four days. Oh well!

For those that don't know, I'm talking about the Cambridge May Bumps -a set of boat races along the Cam where you move up by bumping into the boat in front of you. It was good fun, but Redgrave and Pinsent have nothing to fear from Kings II.

Curry, at lunchtime?

I had lunch with a top chemistry professor from the USA today ... and lived to tell the tale.

I love red wine ...

... and I'm currently drinking a rather nice one: Domaine la Remejeanne, Cotes du Rhone 1995 - go out and buy a bottle. If you like it, buy a bottle for me ... and if you don't go out to the Offy and buy up all the stock they've got left - thus sparing everyone else the bother of drinking it - and send them all my way.

Cheers.

But seriously,

I have a ton-o-work to do if I'm to have any hope of presenting something coherent at a conference I'm going to in Gothemborg, Sweden this July so I definitely don't have time to spend surfing the web.

That said, I just can't help feeding my reading addiction (must write something about books) and I love this website and I get up at stupid hours of the morning to go rowing so there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Hello again

OK, I think I need to add a new journal entry, because I just know you all want to read about my day. Let's see now, things have been really quiet since the "operation" and I don't know what those little pink pills do but I sure hope that they keep doing it.
