You'd hope but you never can tell in these kind of places.

Obviously the hospitals you've been to are a little different to the ones I've been to

Never had to go to a hospital. Only the GP.
The only time I regularly come into contact with medical people is when I donate blood, as I did this morning.

I have to go to hospitals lots. I have my check-ups for my scoliosis every six months, and they give me X-rays about once a year. I also have check-ups for my heart murmur and they ultra-sound-scan me. I see my psychologist at the hospital too. I also had to spend every free moment for a couple of weeks there because my dad had to go in as he wasn't very well at all (he had a very bad reaction to some chemotherapy).
You donate blood? Oh, that's brilliant... You're a good guy.

Is there anything not wrong with you?
As for donating blood last week was pint number 8. It is a great cause and all it costs you to help is a little discomfort and time. It's especially convenient for me as they visit my work every 3 months or so.

No I don't believe there is... I wear glasses... my jaw hurts when I swim and my arm hurts when I run...
That's so good. It's an issue close to my heart because my dad had leukaemia. I respect you more now.

Nice to know, my family is very lucky and do not suffer from any ailments that need blood transfusions. However the youngest of my half brothers has downs syndrome so that is a cause that is very important to me.

to him!
How old is he?
I just spent the day with my nephews Jamie and Ben. We went to see Santa in his grotto. It was *adorable*. Loads of little kids everywhere...

Frasers 18 months and a real houdini. You have to watch him every second or who knows where he will crawl off to.

*smiles* ahhhhh children. can he talk?
interesting thing about my cousin's daughter - the first thing she said was "no way!" I think you can guess what kind of a child she is

He makes sounds that we can interpret but no actual words yet. At Christmas the eldest (Callum) was up at 6 wanting his presents. Michael apparantly wanted to play with each present in turn before the next one was opened and Fraser just had fun destroying the wrapping paper.

awwwww, cute!
For Christmas we bought my nephew Ben a remote controlled car... he opened it up, and then ended up playing with the polystyrene packaging. You know, the stuff that breaks up into tiny little balls. He broke it up into tiny little balls. All over the carpet... 8)
How was your Christmas and New Year then?
I got rather drunk on both occasions. Njan/u47349/james came over and spent a couple of nights here for new year, which was incredibly cool...

I had christmas and boxing day off, so spend the days with my family, although xmas eve and boxing day evenings were spent down the pub with friends. I was actually working new years eve and day so celebrations for that were rather more low key.

Eurgh, working on new year's eve. My cousin the nurse who lives with us had to work night shift over new year. NIGHT SHIFT! Can you believe it.
Happy New year though.

I didn't mind working new years eve, it was coming into work hung over on new years day that almost killed me. However I am getting paid double time for my sacrifice.

I worked 0730-1530 on new years eve, giving me the evening free to imbibe alcohol. On new years day I worked 0900-1700 giving me a bit of extra time to sleep off my imbibing.

Gosh, what a strange word, "imbibe". I'd never heard that before..
Colin!
Colin (The Happy Robot) Posted Jan 18, 2002
I hope the meaning is clear.
BTW what's all this about you being the property of Njan? People are not property.
