Philly & gliding
Posted Mar 1, 2002
i'm off to philly this afternoon to see some pottery studio exhibition opening. A group of us going from class.
Tomorrow though I am going gliding - there's a little airfield just up the road, so I booked a ride in a glider. Should be fun, and a good way to see the countryside!

Shopping!
Posted Feb 24, 2002
Went shopping today with my flatmate. She had fun showing me round the mall. We went cos she wanted a pair of shoes - and we ended up buying all sorts of stuff..... so now I have new shoes too (yipee!) , and she got an iZone camera, and we got tapes and shower stuff and jewellry.... all very girly - great fun!
Unfortunately this meant neither of us got any work done today - so going into overdrive now..... (yeah, right)...

Ghosts and partys!
Posted Feb 24, 2002
A busy couple of days. Went out photographing spirits in the cemetary behind the house I'm living in last night. Also in one of the haunted college buildings. Got pics of a couple!
Tonight though have been sampling another sort of spirit. A student party - same here in the US as back home really, except that here most of the party goers are drinking illegally due to the different age laws here. This seems to mean that they all drink too much and get more out of it than my friends at home, for whom the novelty has already worn off. However, a bit of impromptu 'lap dancing' was considered really over-the-top, despite the dancers being fully clothed and friends of the guy anyway. I've been to wilder parties in the UK........

Tom - again
Posted Feb 19, 2002
I miss him! I'm like, 3000 miles away - which is far too many! Just read a sweet e-mail from my man saying how much he misses me too. What are we to do.... Would really appreciate ideas of how to get through the next 6 weeks without going completely mad. Or some way to make time pass quicker would be good.
Whay does time always pass so much slower when you have something really really good to look forward to?
