But *someone's* been lying about white lab coats again...

The lab coats only arrived later in the morning - that picture was taken some time after 3am. We really did wear the lab coats for Tomorrow's Word - and Yoz has the pictures to prove it smiley - smiley

Desks a bit untidy though anyone would think you had been busy.... and why do you have a bin bag suspended from the ceiling??

It's not a bin bag - it's a suit carrier which was suspended there in a vain attempt to stop the sun blinding me in the morning while I'm trying to work. Didn't work, though, and when I put it up there, I accidentally brushed it against the heater, melting a little plastic which caused great consternation later in the day when the odour of burning plastic wafted upstairs and everyone assumed the room with all the servers was on fire. Sadly, this coincided with both Sean and me both being at lunch, and we were the only ones with keys. So we were visited by some panicked people at TGI Friday's saying our office was on fire. How we laughed.

Okay, now *that's* funny. In retrospect, and thousands of miles away. Funny.

Keys.

Post 7

Sean

When Jim says we were the only people with keys, he means the only people with keys *apart* from the two other people with keys and the person with the key to the key locker with all the keys (who coincidentally happened to be the person who raised the alarm and sent poor Sri and Dominique running to find us ...

So if TGI friday are in the same building as you is it true that Chris Evans walks round the office naked?

Lovely!

Post 9

Jim Lynn

No, you've made the same always amusing mistake Sean makes in confusing 'TFI Friday', a witless television programme, with 'TGI Friday's', a restaurant in Covent Garden.

Sean

Oh great, tell everyone where we eat -- now we'll have Chris Evans turning up and wandering around naked and putting us off our food.

Hi Sean....what a horrible thought - change your restaurant....

Post 12

We only go to TGI's when our regular haunt is heaving. Oddly enough, this is usually on Fridays.

And even the thought of a nake Chris Evans is balanced by the fact that TGI's have milkshakes and omlettes on the menu ...

Global Village Idiot

Does anyone know where TGI Friday's started? I used to eat in one in New York which I came to believe was the original, but this may just be because it was the first one I visited - sometimes I come to "know" things which I've simply made up. Anyway, I tried to take my now fiancee there about 4 years ago (when we were just colleagues) but it seemed to have shut down.

Oh, and I believe it was the one where some of the scenes from 'Cocktail' (Tom Cruise, Bryan Brown) were filmed.

PS I always used to have the Cobb salad, but now the curly pieces of grated carrot will just bring that Chris Evans vision back...

Spartus

I think TGI Friday's started in either NY or San Francisco. I should remember, but I just can't right now. One of the two, at any rate.
Oh, and referencing something from ages ago--the lab coats do exist--I wore one. Small, too.
Speaking of the lab coats, where are those pictures, guys? They probably turned out ridiculously silly, but I'd still like to see 'em. smiley - smiley

I haven't extracted them from the camera yet. I'll point you at them when I have.
