A week later
Posted May 8, 1999
Well, I started up a bit of a discussion about F1 with the last entry, what can I do this time!
A week until Monaco, well that is normally an exciting race, especially if it's wet. DH coming to a halt in the tunnel in 96, Wurz losing his wheels on the hairpin( I think i've remembered that correctly) last year. What will this year's race have in store for us?
This week, not a lot has happened. Work has been hectic as we're preparing for an internal audit next week. Great fun when half of the department are either on leave or gone sick. It will be even busier next week when the auditors are in. Scary!
The cats have been moulting everywhere around the house - I seem to do nothing but hoover up after them. It's been a good week for chocolate - a bit of a binge but never mind!
That's about all for this week. Got to go as I've got an essay to write for my course work.

Sunny Sunday - A Perfect Day
Posted May 2, 1999
In the words of Lou Reed 'Oh what a perfect day...'
A beautiful sunny Sunday, 2nd May 1999. My husband went to work early this morning, so I slept until about 1030. My son was watching tv in his bedroom - bliss!
I got up and cooked Nick and I our Sunday treat - thick American style pancakes with syrup for a late breakfast. Just enough time to read the paper before the San Marino Grand Prix started. Nick went out to play with his friends, so i watched the race in peace, doing some of the ironing. I had to make sure that I was taping the race for Adrian to watch later.Excellent race, shame Mika Hakkinen went off, well done DC for getting 2nd, and Damon actually finished a race! Barrichello did really well to finish 3rd, and Schuey finished first again - of course the crowd at Imola went wild, being the home of Ferrari. The race finished and the snooker final had just started. It was too sunny to sit in and watch the snooker, I can catch up with that this evening. I spent the rest of the afternoon sitting in the garden reading the rest of the paper until it was time to cook dinner. I loved every minute of it. Now to catch up with the snooker final....and I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday!
Oh, what a perfect day!
