Hi, Dale. Of course I remember you! It has been a long time though, hasn't it? How have you been? I took a bit of a break from h2g2 myself recently and lost touch a bit. I don't think I know betsy - sorry, betsy, if I do! I am getting forgetful in my old age.

The longer user name is me jumping on the bandwagon. People seemed to be taking up more and more space on the Who's-online gadget, advertising this and that; so if you can't beat 'em join 'em, I thought. Hi there again John, betsie i've know idea what it is i end up on it when i send message/thread/posting from h2g2 as i still on cable aka Telewest....
Anyway i'm fine thanks for asking
but with not been able to get on here i've not sent any messages etc,the last time i was on when i was at my brothers over Christmas see he as PC so i change my space alittle, i now have new b/f partner we been together well not living together for 1year and 4months, i not long since come back from his he lives all the way Telford Shropshire as i live all the way Doncaster up North as some say,i'm much happier these day's
but if you didn't know i'm gay, now you know lol
Anyway its terrable weather today can't get into my garden sob sob. Anyway my sisters getting married next month waste of time these days but she as invite me and my b/f/partner so that's somthing to look forward too but it's in Ireland going on the slow boat GULP! So how are you? How many hours a day/week do you spend on here? After 20mins i have to have a break makes my head spin,Hopefully i will be getting PC then i'll be able to see what h2g2 looks like in colour/color as all i see is white background black/blue text no smileys just the words, thats because someone blabbed to telewest and telewest blocked the link. So you from England? I used to chat to Ivan the terrable average but hes to busy with someone els plus he not been well,Can i ask have you heard of FreeView cus i was thinking of getting rid of this so called cable box as i only got it for Emails the channels or rubbish, but no one seems to email me these days, so it's a waste of money keeping it on. (soz for yapping away like an old woman lol)
Have you ever been on the bbci message boards? I mostley use ONELIFE (gay) anyway John i think thats it for now i just having a [_]D coffee then going to watch TV (the box)

Hi, Dale. I did know you are gay. I think you told me before, or maybe I read it on your page. Anyway, I'm happy that you have a nice partner and things are going well for you.

I was born in England, but I've lived in Canada most of my life. It's been really hot here, lately, and sunny; the gardens have been getting cooked. Honestly, it's been more like August than June. This morning, it was like a monsoon here though, with rain pouring down, and then steamy heat. We really needed the rain as the ground is as hard a concrete.

Lately, I've been on h2g2 quite regularly, most days for at least a few minutes, just to check for any new messages. h2g2 must look pretty drab in black/blue and white. It will be better when you get your PC. I don't know anything about FreeView, I'm afraid. I guess that is an Internet provider. I don't really bother with the Internet as much as I once did, except for h2g2 and looking up the odd thing every now and then. I don't do much 'surfing', as such, any more. I subscribe to a lot of newletters from different egroups, mainly stuff about Tibet. I don't think I've been on the bbci message boards, not that I remember, anyway.

Erm FreeView its a set top box erm it enables you to get more channels via your rooftop arial
about 30 tv channels & 20ish radio channels
its instead of having cable or sky and its free course you have to bye the tet top box some vary
in price,i do have one but the remote is not responding so if i press erm menu text comes up instead, so i'm taking it back, but one down wall it don't have email so as i was going to do was get rid of cable get that freeview as no one emails me anyway, but then i wouldnt be able to get on here as i do via email on cable, to hard to exsplain....Anyway i see they changed over to DNA now it's getting harder for me to enter on here. So if i enter this U564517 as thats my ID number i should be able to look at my space?

And the external web addys i can not get onto only the bbc. Me and the partner are away from 23rd July as Monday 25th July off to Ireland for a week as its also my sisters wedding,(i'll give her six months) well they don't act like a couple at all.Then when we come back (UK) i'm stopping at Daves a couple weeks, as i hate Doncaster (UK) them across the street with there BOOM BOOM music at 2am do my head in, anyway John i'm going now cus after been on here i get migrains after abit, so you take care m8.

Hi Dale. Thanks for the link. I got the pics and so on, all in colour. There are some cool 360 degree panoramas of various places. My dad's from Sheffield, so I sent him a link. I'm from Nottingham, so I've been having a wander around some of the BBC stuff about there as well. Is it Doncaster where they have the car museum? My cousin took me for a drive there when I was in UK years ago. I'm not sure now where it was though. You really should treat yourself and get a pc because you're missing out on all the fun stuff. I don't know much about computers, so I'm always a bit relieved when something works, I've usually got no idea how.

Anyway, have a great trip to Ireland - i'm rushing because there's thunder and the power goes off here every time the wind blows. I bet they manage to keep the electricity on in Doncaster.
