Day 4 - 25th June 1999
Posted Jun 25, 1999
I don't think I ever believed it but it's true - Sea Monkeys are real, alive and very cute!!
I suffered pangs of guilt for a couple of days because I accidentally spilt some of the water - probably bringing the lives of at least ten of God's creatures to a premature end. The family unit as a whole does not appear to have suffered, however, and I think they have forgiven me.
We now have around one hundred baby Sea Monkeys, all scooting around their watery home. They are about 1mm long, white and very active!
I am a bit concerned at leaving them alone for the weekend here in the office but tough - I've got a life to live so they're just going to have to manage alone.
First feed will be on Monday - I can't wait.

Day 1 - 22nd June 1999

Having completed the day of Purification, today we have added the eggs to the tank in order to become Sea Monkey parents. Not that we can actually see them but the maternal bond is beginning to develop and I seem to be getting very protective and defensive over what amounts to no more than a jar of water at the minute ...

Interesting fact ...
On this day one hundred years ago Jacob German of New York City became the first driver to be arrested for speeding after dirving his taxicab over the 12mph speed limit.
Strange but true!!
