I'll summerise the events of the hvl incident.

Spook, a friend of mine, was arguing with HVL (i can't remember what about). HVL was saying all sorts of horrible things about spook, but spook (IMHO) was being much less personal, and more objective. When HVL asked why everyone was supporting spook i said it was because hvl was lying, and spook not. HVL disagreed and demanded an apology. He started following me everywhere i went making off topic posts about me lying. I started yikesing these posts as harassment, and eventually the italics emailed hvl and told him to stop it or he would be banned. He then stopped.

And that's about it. I won't go into more details, you will have to read all the relevent threads yourself for that. Quite a few are in spooks journal.

(I've been getting really interested in *incidents* recently. I just researched the leKZ incident, too. I guess it's because of the entire guidelines issue.)

Yup. Good memories. I don't see why she x-ed out the non-offensive words, though.

She wasn't censoring it, she was coding it. She wanted people to have to work out what it said, and that's the main problem, we still aren't sure it was decoded correctly...

You mean, she was giving herself an excuse for later. Some of it's pretty obvious and couldn't have any other meaning, though.

The names aren't at all obvious. That was only guessed from context. Someone did post a possible alternative meaning, with different names.

You need to start a new journal entry. "Target: 10,000 posts about nighthoover"

Then you might be closer to having everything in there.
