I'm going to use this forum to keep you informed about the status of your pages as they go through the editing process.
I've already contacted The Big Black Mighty Who Sang But Not Too Loud about his Betelgeuse page - I'm hoping he'll have a bit more meat to add to that stew.
I hope to get these finished within a few days.
Cheers!

Thanks!
Please ignore the Travelling to the Stars entry as it has been through Peer Review and some scout recommended it after I'd explained it was for my project. It is edited and should be fine, I'm not sure if you might need to add some links in it though.
Thanks again,
Tango

Sorry about that. I missed your first posting
Anyway, I'm working on them offline and I'll post them into a holding area for the authors' review before I go and erase what's in the original entries.
It's a bit more difficult this way, but I think the end result will be worth it. Besides, there's a *huge* queue for the front page at the moment - something like four or five projects are all waiting impatiently to go live (which is to say that even if I was finished today, there'd be a four to five week wait).
I haven't forgotten about you though!

Thanks, I thought you might of missed my first msg. In the 3 days you were away you built up a lot of postings!

Heh. It happens I reckon.
I've got a draft of the final version of 'Celestial Sphere' located in my workshop at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A530074
Could you contact the Researchers involved with it and see if it meets their approval?
For uni projects the italics don't create new versions of entries for editing purposes so to post this in the proper place, I'll have to overwrite what your Researchers have done. I'm loathe to do that until they've had a chance to check it out.
Thanks!

It seems the authors of Celestial Sphere have vanished on the face of h2g2. Neither of them seem to have done anything for months. I can't see anything wrong with the your editing so I sugest you just go for it.
Thanks for your help,

I've uploaded a revised version of Betelguese done by the original author and now I'm looking at the last two...
My preliminary thoughts are that these two should be combined into one entry since they deal with such similar concepts. What do you think?

Tango Posted Nov 24, 2001
I hadn't thought of combining the two but now you mention it I can see the merit in it. I think it would be a good idea as long as it isn't to much extra work for you.

I'm stuck at the moment, but I reckon this will be done by the end of the month.
Did you happen to see http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A636897 ?

What are you stuck on?
BTW, the page you mentioned wasn't written when I was doing mine.

Jimi X Posted Jan 14, 2002
But the original (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A614558) was.
Your page was posted 29 August 2001 and that one was posted 12 August 2001.
What I'm stuck on is how to incorporate your two project pages (Distances in Astronomy and Doppler Effect in Reference to Stars) into the already existing Edited Guide entry on Universal Red Shift.
It's a bit of a pickle and I'm planning to mail Anna on Tuesday...

That link should read http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A614558

Strange... prehaps it was still under construction and had too little there at the time to take notice of. I hope Anna can help.
Good Luck
