Who are they, what do they do? Why is this place in such a mess, are the majority of sensible people here going to have to endure more grief over some peoples views over a piece of land or a walk down some inconspicious road, as if it matters. I often wonder if I'm the only person with this sort of view point, an almost apolitical way of seeing it all. Maybe I've been away from the Country too long, I think not it is still my home, my family live here, long lost friends live here, I know them and I know their views. How set in concrete these views are though, everyone else is wrong and I'm right sort of attitude, why?
Are people content to allow their politicans to continue down the road of conflict and violence instead of the one they should be, the one of peace and cooperation. I'm sick of it all, no wonder there is such a thing as political appathy, I've caught it and I caught it a long time ago, no one has come up with a cure for it.
I know, I know, why am I not out there saying what I think? Would they listen to me? Have they listened to the people who voted in the referendum just over a year ago? I think not, they will continue to go down their own little tribal paths, for they for some reason find it difficult to break out of their moulds, they think they need their tribe to survive, when in reality we all need to survive, but we all needn't go down their road (no pun intended).
Here's me hoping for a major change in heart from our so called leaders? (I dread to think what they'll be like in real government). God I'm such a pesimist aren't I!
I have to admit there is a better atmosphere now that the storm clouds are starting to clear, the only thing is that storm could easily return. Lets hope not.
