Hello bob. I'd noticed you'd submitted an entry on Old Winchester Hill Fort and wondered if we were starting a collection of hillfort entries! When I get a minute, I'll come round and comment on yours.
But I haven't any plans to do any more hillfort entries. I might do some more Sussex entries - like a piece on the Seven Sisters, and something on the story of the Piltdown Man, but not at the moment. So if you want to do a hillfort theme, you're welcome!

your entry gave me the idea I chose Winchester hill for the reason that it is one of the best places to spend a day I know, the hillfort was secondary.
I will stay out of Sussex (Entry wise) but as you started the hillforts I just wanted to make sure it was not the first of a set of entries planned or in progress, I will stick to Hampshire and Dorset
I know nothing much about Chanctonbury Ring

I don't think ChanctonburyRing is of much interest historically, though it's visible from a long way away, thanks to the tuft of trees on the summit. That used to be a splendid circle of beeches, but many of them blew down in 1987.
