Hi minorvogonpoet,

Just hoping that I can nudge you into making some Scout picks please?

We don't have an auto system to remind people of when to take a turn, so am prompting you, in the hopes that you can spot something that is ready for selection.

smiley - cheers

smiley - sorry Lanzababy.

I've been a bit busy lately, judging a poetry competition and following a creative writing course. But I've finished with the competition and the course ends this Tuesday, so I might have more time.

I'll go and have a look. smiley - ok

Hello minorvogonpoet,

I've just finished subbing your Brighton and Hove Entry. It is here: A87752190 if you'd care to cast your eye over it for me.

I just have one query, and that is about the buses having names? Did you mean destinations, or do they actually have 'names'. If it is destinations, or companies, I'll amend, it they are named, perhaps a footnote would be interesting? Could you look at that sentence again for me please?

I'd also like to ask you if you have any possible photographs? We'd be really grateful if you did.

So, best wishes and thanks for this Entry,

Lanzababy smiley - island

Thanks for doing his, Lanzababy.smiley - smiley
Some points:
smiley - star Yes, the buses are named after people. if you want a footnote, it could be 'Brighton and Hove's buses have been named after notable deceased people with a connection to the area since 1999.'
smiley - star I'm not sure about 'the shop that sells vegan shoes'. The shop calls itself 'Vegetarian Shoes', which always makes me smile, but whether they are strictly vegan, I wouldn't know. Perhaps 'the shop that calls itself Vegetarian Shoes' would be better.
smiley - star The link to Brighton Rock seems to be wrong. I should be to A458408.
smiley - star in the sentence beginning 'Groups of Mods and Rockers', did I really put 'throwing stones when the police tried to disperse them'? It should be 'threw'.
smiley - star I'll be going to Brighton tomorrow, and - providing the weather's all right -I could take some photos. The Pavilion is an obvious choice. Whether I can work out how to transmit them to you is another matter - I might have to ask my technical expert, aka husband.

I've got a couple of decent photos - of the Pavilion and the Palace Pier - which can go with this article.

But I don't know how to send them - do I email them, or do I post them here? If the latter, how do I do that?

smiley - biggrin Excellent! Would you email them to me c/o the Guide Eds account?

[email protected]

If they are large size photos (mbs) can you send one per email? I am not sure of the inbox limit of that account. Then I can post them to the Artists forum in Noesis for their approval.

Many thanks minorvogonpoet, this is so helpful of you to take the time to get photos for us. smiley - ok

Hello again

I've just finished subbing your Entry on Amateur Dramatics, or rather all I had to do was to add some links, as it was perfect already. Many thanks for sending such a polished Entry - it makes life easy.

Here is the subbed version - and we have a little cartoon waiting in the wings for you. 'Scuse the pun!

Thank you for this, Lanzababy. smiley - smiley You found lots more relevant links than I did!

Just one typo - In the section headed 'rehearsals', a 'u' has got missed out of 'flourish'.

I've also just this minute set up a Trello Board for the new Scout forum. The one we started on Noesis was not much used. I am hoping that we can make better use of technology to improve communication regarding Entries as they travel through the editorial processes.

I look forward to seeing you on Trello. Let me know if you have any difficulty.

Sorry, I still haven't got into Trello. smiley - sadface

Although we have got Chrome on our computer, Internet Explorer is still set as the browser. (It's my husband who sets everything up and makes sure it works. )

May I suggest you use Chrome as a second browser window? You can have IE set as the default browser, and only open Chrome when you need to use it yourself. This is how I keep track, by having more than one browser on my desktop and I just click the one I want to use. I do hope this helps!
