5 minutes...
Posted Apr 29, 1999
I have been here 5 minutes, and so far I am not very impressed. My personal page in the Guide has such a limited number of features (edit the HTML of the page, and journal entries.) Blech, I could have thrown this together in my sleep (and they are using CGI scripts, no less.) Hmmm...maybe I should make my OWN Guide...nah, too much work involved in that.
Peace out.

OK, the book said not to panic so I won't. Here I am, day 1, reading http://www.slashdot.org/ (Slashdot) and I see that the Guide (as I will refer to it, since The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is just WAY too long) is now online. This isn't a shock to me, you see, as I am guessing that everything in the world will soon be online (including my dog, whose name is Cookie. If you see her around, tell her that since she is now on the Internet, she can start paying for her own food.)
Anyhow... (uh oh, I just broke rule 3) I was saying that I am going to spew off junk for anyone to read just for the hell of it even though I am sure that I could use my time more wisely. You want to see how, visit http://edens.simplenet.com/aeden/ (my homepage) to see my 'work.'
Go to http://www.javalobby.org/ (The Java Lobby) if you program. If not, then learn. That is, if you would like to be assured that you will have a job for the next 50 years. If not, continue to be the rock star that you are not.
Till the next time.
Peace out.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
