What is an "Otway" and how intoxicating is it? Is it really so potent that it's only sold once a year?

An Otway is that rare thing - John Otway.
He had a hit once . . . now plays various venues singing his own songs and other peoples in his own style.

What does this Johnny Otway do. Is he a Comedian or Country and Western singer. He must be pretty famous to have his own web site. How come I havn't heard of him. What's his next US venue.

He's a comedian/singer/actor/author/fool in various degrees. His repeated failure to conquer the charts makes for a hilarious tale, and as such he's even written a superb autobiography. He had one "hit" (number 27 in the charts) in the UK in 1977, and has been living off the back of it ever since.

He toured the US a bit in the 80s, but these days he's almost exclusively a British institution. That said, he did play at a couple of gigs in New York in early '99.

Thanks for the information, you've got a good web site. Otway's 'hit' must have made him millions if he's still living of the proceeds?? I'm sure he did a duet with Tammy Wynette in the early '80s.!!
