Nothing like a bit of faceless authority to make one feel at home.
That was intended to be a joke. Those failing to see the joke should look more closely!
As a parent, saying 'Because I'm the Daddy' is a Good Thing. Same as getting a posting from 'The h2g2 Editors'.
Good one!

Oh, I dunno - it's not like there are enough editors to enable the blame to be faceless. This isn't the Orient Express!

So let's see if I can figure out which one that was....
Movie reference, using the word 'dunno', a smiley face.....
Could it be Ashley?

Maybe it was none of the above...
For all we know, the editorial team are all one being, with different personalities projected as different entities. Of course, this doesn't explain real-time meetups, mainly because it is a lie.

h2g2 auto-messages Posted Nov 17, 2000
Of course, it could be one person one day and one person the next... but it's been the same person throughout so far.
I'd give you a clue, but I'm far, far too busy...

h2g2 auto-messages Posted Nov 17, 2000
I, on the other hand, am not too busy so perhaps I can give you a clue.
Then again...
C'est une mystere!
h2g2 auto-messages Posted Nov 17, 2000
I on the other hand have the use of only eight digits as I have worn my thumbs out through over twiddling...
However...
C'est une mystere!
h2g2 auto-messages Posted Nov 17, 2000
And I'm an international editor of mystery, so you'd have to try really hard to get a clue out of me
C'est une mystere!
Jimi X Posted Nov 17, 2000
It must be someone from outside the Towers as we all know that you inside the Tower types are far too busy for thumb twiddling.
Hmmmm....
*hunts for clues*
C'est une mystere!
Jimi X Posted Nov 17, 2000
Yeah, he's always going on about how busy he is.
A *real* manager would be able to delegate some of his workload to his idle staff!
C'est une mystere!
Mark Moxon Posted Nov 21, 2000
Cheerd, Jimi. Don't mind if I do.
And I think I'll go off and create another general h2g2 staff identity to delebrate.
