Hi there I understand that there is an entry on hair on here. I am wondering what mostly harmless entries are exactly and who updates them if they need updating. I would love to write about hair and grow it to a greater length.

Mostly Harmless entries are just like any other entry that is begging for an update. Although any update of a Mostly Harmless entry will be effectively a completely new entry, they still have to go through then Update Forum, to avoid repetition.
