h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

i just got back here to h2g2 after an extended hiatus. most everything seems to be how i remember it, only there's more of it. only one question, sir: why was the "the last one to post here wins" thread on the thingite's page closed? that page was one of the highlights of my many hours spent here and i would like an explanation, please.

An explanation was posted to the thread, I think. A combination of moderation issues I seem to remember. Plus we have to look at threads where the worth to the site is outweighed by server issues.

On a personal level, I find that kind of game repetitive and a bit dull. We can turn a blind eye to it though, but on that occasion a few members had got out of hand and we had to close the thread to look at the damage.

So, blame them, not us. We weren't the ones who set out to spoil anyone's fun. Sorry.
