Hi 2Legs! I'd love to come, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to make it. It'll be the first one I've missed for 4 years , but after the shock of meeting someone last time who not only didn't know who I was, but *still didn't know who I was after I told her my name* was too great for me and my poor can't take any more.

Plus I have a small boy who by then will still be four years away from being allowed in pubs (and 81 years away from being allowed anywhere near this rowdy/sexually over-excited lot!).

If a babysitter suddenly turns up I'll definitely be coming. I still have hopes that my mother will be able to have him, but she won't say yes or no until around a week before. So stick me on the 'maybe' list and I'll see what I can do.

Normally the parties are on weekends when J is with his dad, but this one happened to fall on a weekend I have him, which is why I initially said no.

Ahh, yes, I vaguely* remember the discussions about dates; I normally try to keep out of them as I'd find it hard to imagine anythign that'd stop me being able to get down to London at the weekend I'll put you on the possibile atendee list and keep my fingers crosed that you can come about my typing no ideas what my finges are up to today

In the past I've joined in voting for dates, so that I can at least attempt to get a free weekend. There's only one weekend a month I can make these days, and I couldn't see anyone coming out on New Year's Day, which is the only Saturday I could make in January.
