Unfortunately I can't make that weekend. I'll be home with my son. Pub landlords often object to young children. Thanks for asking though. I would like to go to a meet somewhere other than London (or Holland) for a change.

Well, don't go mad on my account. I do have a horrible habit of making arrangements, and then making some more, different ones, and then just deciding that staying on the sofa all day is the best bet after all.

Well a lot of people have said that they wouldn't be able to make the 23rd, so if we'll get a better turnout on the 16th then we'll make it then.

I just thought - I can't make the 16th either - I can't do Saturdays.

and travelling to and from Birmingham on a Sunday by train could be a bit awkward - they always become !

I was wondering if you'd be able to make a Saturday with notice?

I have a plan to see if we could do a 'big winter' meet in Birmingham, during the uni holidays then people could stay for Saturday night in Uni hall..

I just thought of it last night and would need a fellow plotter..

I can travel up by car, that's no problem.

Unfortunately even with notice I can't do a Saturday when it's that far away. I'm not free until 7, and I don't really want to give up a day with my son. I used to do it for the big London meet because it became part of my job and I got time off instead which I spent with him. When I was a Researcher I saw my time off was totally different so it didn't matter so much.

I've tried to change my nights off to Friday and Sat on occasion to make meets, but it hasn't worked out. I'm stuck here unless I can bring him with me. When he's 14 I'll be able to bring him!

Although thinking about it, maybe I wouldn't mind sending him out a couple of hours early. There's no reason why I'd have to spend all day up there!

Hummmm wonder if it would be possible to have a Saturday night/Sunday morning meet, where we all meet up for a wholesome outdoor activity on the Sunday. Not that I can think of any wholesome outdoor activities in Birmingham..

I think if people were drinking the night before, they wouldn't be up to much the day after! I'll keep my eye on the page to see what date you finally settle on. I'm sure my dad would love the chance of a couple of hours to take his grandson to breakers yards or whatever it is grandads do with their grandkids. If it's a weekend I'm free anyway, I could probably live with not seeing him for a couple of extra hours.

I've just thought - if you do change the date to the weekend before, that's the weekend of the Bizarre Bazaar, so I'd likely stay over and take you all to the fetish fair.

It scared you? Awww, I'd come and hold your hand. I was hoping to get up there this month, but the person who I intended to drive me has decided to go to a munch instead. I will be reminding him (and his wife) of the date to see if they change their minds!

I was intending to go last month as well, but we decided to go to a club the night before, and it's a long drive when you didn't get home until 4 am that morning!

Well, that's two of us up for it.. and you, which makes three.. now who else can we tempt..

Who needs one meet when you can have two..
