No, the drawing of the Jabberwock is an illustration from (Alice) Through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carroll. The illustrator was John Tenniel, the best in England at the time. It must be wonderful to be able to draw like that.
I'm very keen on the Alice books, and also some other things that Lewis Carroll wrote. Did you know he was a lecturer at Oxford in Logic and Mathematics? It was because he was so logical that his nonsense was so brilliant
You're welcome at my place any time. I like to have friends and acquaintances and even just lurkers around.
Isn't it typically a bit crazy to have a party for someone's birthday when they're not even there ? Typical of Lil, I'd say

Yes, I am. Lewis Carroll's nonsense is by and large inverted logic, and that's why he doesn't appeal to children much, although he did when the books first came out. But that's the very reason I find him so enjoyable.
I think I'll slope off now and let you enjoy the party. We must do this again - it's been really nice talking to you.

Hi, little-m-blue! I've been off the site for a couple of days myself. Welcome back, I hope you can stick around more often, (not at the expense of RL of course).
Do you fancy bein' a friend? I feel like I'm your friend already.
