do you need special ones or can you use the normal ones? Asprin thins the blood doesn't it?
Hi B2...Only me........
BMT Posted Jan 22, 2006
yes, they are whats known as enteric coated, basically stops them dissolving in the stomach as I have a damage lining and ordinary aspirin give me violent stomach ache!!
They're over £6.00 for 14 pills to buy over the counter!
Hence I get them on prescription.

silly price really.Quite a few of the heart meds I'm on are specially coated to prevent stomach issues, they're quite potent really. However, they've kept me going now for over 5 years so they do work!!
I rattle for the first few hours in the mornigs, that's when I take the most in one go.You soon get into a routine!
I remember when first on them thinking...I'm gonna die here...never remember to take this lot in the right order....Thank gawd for day stamped pillpacks!!

I don't think these meds affect the brain other than the emergency spray, that gives me a blistering headache when i have to use it.It basically is designed to give a rapid increase of blood flow.
So on that basis shouldn't go senile for many many many years yet....

Youv'e got the spray? His dad had that, and someone in the pub robbed it and used it had to go the docters the next day,not the most intelligent thing to do

Darn silly thing to do if you don't have restricted arteries.Could have killed him.Burst an artery internally you are dead in less than 8 minutes!I keep the sprays out of reach of everyone, but do have them in strategic places just in case.Always have one in my pocket.

It's one of the reasons I am so passionate about drugs and misuse with all the implications therein.Prescribed drugs are just as dangerous as illegal drugs in the wrong hands.
I never thought to ask, don't ask why I've just suddenly thought about it, I know you drink socially as it were, do you smoke?
Hi B2...Only me........

I've recently followed quacks advice and am trying to jack it in, very hard but I think I'm getting there slowly.Still have the occassional roll up (with filters), but really struggling to kick it into touch altogether!
I was just wondering that was all.
I'm not going to start a anti-smoking thread or anything!!Just curious.
