Just popping in to see if your alright as not been in Websailor's thread for a while?
I am following your lead and listening to birds calls on my DVDs more now as are a usful way to idnentify birds if can't see them or not certain of ID, I find.

That is very thoughtful of you; thank you. The birds are really singing up a storm at the moment, aren't they? On Saturday I heard what I thought was a brambling and yesterday phoned the local RSPB man to ask if they would be in that particular area and the answer was yes. It only sang a couple of times and when I stopped to pay more attention ... silence!

I decided to unsubscribe from that thread while I continue to find my way around hootoo. I've put the links to latest discussions on favs but still find the rather bare window rather difficult to navigate as I have to scroll across what seems like acres of empty space before I find the up/down arrows! Shall I give up? Never!smiley - smiley

Glad you are not giving up and OK!
I think I will buy a CD of bird calls as still find some confussing, make that a lot actually, lol. However getting to know bird calls better would be nice as would know what is there if couldn't actually see them if hidden in bushes.
