hello... i sent the message below to peta... and also to some others. i have no idea who you all are but i think you should see this too... i am saying it to you too.


hello. i sent the message above to you 6 days ago and you havent replied. actually, this is okay with me... but in the light of what i have to say today... it makes it harder. why? because i feel this will fall on blind eyes.

i have only been on this site for a couple of months at the most. Almost from day one i was assaulted by regulars on here who are uk-centric, mean spirited, bullying, anti-americans. i ran into people who have links on their personal space going to porn sites... i ran into alot of racist remarks... and who ever is supposed to be monitoring all this evidently turns a blind eye when it is either someone they know or someone English.

As near as i can figure, this place is two things... a guide or encyclopedia of some sort that is contributed to by the members.... and a community for socializing and talking about matters of import and/or interest.

Now i know what Douglas Adams and his group... were you a part of that? i know what he envisioned. And i guess i am not telling you anything new when i say its not happening. I tried. But this place is too mean, too many house rules are broken, and even in peer review i have seen this crass behaviour.

as near as i can figure out... your hands are tied. there is nothing you can do. i know you would if you could... if you were one of Douglas' friends. but even here i am not sure because i read the official biography of Douglas Adams written by a supposed friend of his.. and, well, it was a struggle getting through it... he put him down so much. oh yes in the subtle fashion of the english... but put down he did.

i am writing this in the hopes that since this place is not going to improve... if you all could see fit to change the name of it because it is an insult to Douglas. i am going to send this to Derek too. This place is like ....spitting on Douglas' grave... I am not worried about intelligent people misconstruing that the way h2g2 is now is what Douglas would approve of. I just think its wrong. I am glad its not called Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. Thank god for small favors.

i am pretty weary of all this but i will cite a few things.... The Whats Wrong with Americans thread. charming. The sabotaging of discussions by anti-american trolling. THE ABUSE OF DELLA... i researched it and she was set upon like hounds on a fox. shame. The allowance of racial epithets against englands favorite antagonists... the french and the irish.

well... i am realising as i am saying this that doubtless you know about it all so i guess you dont care... or you approve. anyways... i felt it was only right to tell you.
