Hi, the info pages say that there is a six week writing deadline for a project but also says that there is no hard obligation to make sure it's done in said six weeks. What's the deal then? What if I was interested in starting a project but knew that there wasn't a snow flake in hells chance of being able to finish in six months let alone six weeks?

We are in the middle of updating the Uni so it would be better if you didn't submit at the moment if you really don't have the time to get it done within the deadline.
You can work on it just the same, and when the Uni is relaunched you can have another look at your options. Deadlines are something that we're looking into.
